A new survey has the answers we are looking for when it comes to the question “How much are couples saving per month for their wedding”.

They have came to the findings that on average couples are saving 120 euro per month to spend on their wedding day. They also found that the average wedding can cost up to 29,000 euro, do you know what that means? It would take you over 10 years to save for a wedding if you save the average of 120 euro per month. That’s a very scary fact facing most newly engaged couples in Ireland. Most couples need to make the choice of a dream wedding or saving for a mortgage, with increasing renting costs it’s hard to do both.

The survey also revealed that by 2028 they predict a 17% increase in the total cost of getting married. That will bring the cost of an average wedding to a whopping 32,900. BONKERS! Looking back they estimated that wedding costs have risen by an astonishing 60% in the last 22 years and it doesn’t look like the costs associated with a wedding will be coming down anytime soon! The sad thing about these increasing prices in today’s market are the fact that our wages just aren’t keeping up with the increase in the cost of living.
