Getting Married?

The thing that all brides and grooms will tell you about their big day is, that the day flew by!

We can understand this statement so well, you spend months even years planning the biggest day of your life and before you know it you’re heading to bed with your new husband and it’s all over.  The best way to make the best of your day and to slow down the whole occasion is to get organised and start a wedding plan for the week leading up to your special day.  In addition to making a week plan, we also think you should follow these top 5 must do’s on your wedding day.

5 Things You Must Do On Your Wedding Day
  1. Make a morning plan

We suggest that you make a morning plan and stick to it, it’s best to prepare this in advance.  This plan will include the times for hair and makeup, putting on your wedding dress and a champagne break!  It is also important to add the latest time that you can leave the house.  And lastly stick to it, this plan will help you get through the morning without as much as a meltdown.

  1.  Have an emergency bag handy

Remember to bring an emergency bag with you, this is normally left in the reliable hands of a maid of honor.  This bag will have anything you may need on the day, from medication, money, painkillers, plasters and including your favourite lippy you must have.

  1. Eat

You might be thinking, how could I forget to eat! The majority of brides will tell you that they didn’t eat much on the day of their wedding. It’s so common, you’re running around all day and most likely sticking to a schedule for the first part of the day. Ensure you drink enough water throughout the day as getting a headache is the last thing you want on your big shindig.

  1. Take time to take it all in

Maybe before or after the dinner, take some time out and pull your new husband aside for  chat. Talk to them about how wonderful a day you are having and just spend that quality time together.

  1. Let things go

Let’s face it, every wedding is not perfect and even if you have planned and planned, you need to be realistic about the day. It may rain, the priest may get a flat tyre. Try not to stress and let it go. It’s just another story to add to a wonderful day of celebrating with loved ones and friends.

Happy Wedding Planning!
